  • Sessions from world-class marketers at top brands

  • Networking every day

  • DJs, world-record breaking, and an alarming amount of rom-com fun!

Last year, 29,000+ marketers joined us. This year is even bigger, and spots are limited.

Who Deserves a Little Love?

We all know someone who makes our community a better place. Maybe it's a neighbour who's always helping others, a small business that goes the extra mile or someone whose kindness often goes unnoticed.

Taché Treat Co. wants to hear about them through its November Love for Locals campaign.

Throughout November, residents can nominate a local person or business that deserves a little extra appreciation.

To nominate someone, visit Taché Treat Co.'s original Facebook post, tag the person or business and share why they deserve recognition.

Important: Nominations must be made in the comments on the original Facebook post, not on Tri Town Today's post or a shared version. This helps make sure no nominations are missed.

At the end of November, Taché Treat Co. will choose one winner to receive a treat tray or another special goodie.

Know someone who deserves a little love? Visit the original Facebook post and nominate them here.

Curling Workshop Trains Local Instructors

People who help introduce adults to curling can build their teaching skills at a one-day workshop in New Liskeard on Saturday, November 7.

The Adult Learn to Curl Train the Trainer workshop will be held at Horne Granite Curling Club, 11 May Street South.

Offered through Curling Ontario, the session is designed for club officials, program leaders and both new and experienced instructors. It focuses on helping clubs welcome and keep new curlers through a structured six- to eight-week program.

Registration costs $84.75 including HST. Curling Ontario says its programs are available only to registrants who belong to affiliated clubs, and participants must create a Curler profile to register.

The workshop is for people who teach or organize curling programs, not a beginner lesson for first-time curlers.

Winter Parking Rules Begin

Temiskaming Shores' overnight parking restrictions are now in effect, even without snow. The restrictions run from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027.

The City is also asking residents to remove basketball nets and other objects from streets and sidewalks so crews can work safely.

Winter road and sidewalk maintenance follows established priorities. Major storms may mean longer cleanup times, so give operators plenty of room as they work.
