Running Late, Bloodshot, Super Busy & The Shortage - Haileybury Legion Branch 54 | 7:00 PM | Four live rock bands take the stage for an all-ages show featuring Running Late, Bloodshot, Super Busy and The Shortage. Admission: $20 cash at the door.

The Jam - Coeur du Village - Centre communautaire, Earlton | 1:00-4:00 PM | The music jam returns September 16 and continues every Wednesday. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of live music and community.
Fire Department Spaghetti Supper - Coeur du Village - Centre communautaire, Earlton | 4:30-6:30 PM | Support the Armstrong Fire Department with a spaghetti supper and bake sale. Admission: $15 adults, $8 children ages 6-8. All proceeds support the fire department.

Rumble to Remember Wrestling - Haileybury Curling Club | 7:00 PM | Canadian Wrestling’s Elite brings live wrestling to Temiskaming Shores, including an over-the-top-rope rumble, championship matches and New Liskeard’s Double D’s. Tickets: $25 advance or $30 at the door. VIP meet-and-greet: $30.

Pumpkin Putt - The Snack Shack & Mini Putt, New Liskeard | 6:00-8:00 PM | Celebrate the 6th annual Pumpkin Putt with an evening of spooky mini-golf fun. The fundraiser supports the Temiskaming Shores Skating Club.

Sunday Night TV Bingo Returns

Sunday nights are about to bring back a familiar local tradition.
The Rotary Club of Temiskaming Shores and Area is bringing back its Sunday Night TV Bingo, beginning September 13 and continuing every Sunday through March 21.
Games run from 7 to 8 p.m. and can be followed from home on Channel 10 or live through the Rotary Club's Facebook page.
For those who would rather make a night of it, there will also be a Stay-and-Play at the Haileybury Legion Branch 54 Pub, giving players the option to participate together in person.
And winners in New Liskeard, Cobalt and Dymond won't have to wait long for their winnings. Rotary volunteers will deliver cash prizes immediately following the game.
The first Sunday Night TV Bingo of the season takes place September 13 at 7 p.m.

Haileybury Legion Receives Centennial Recognition

The centennial celebrations may be over, but the recognition continues for Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 in Haileybury.
Member of Parliament Pauline Rochefort recently presented Branch President Don Martin, joined by members of the Branch executive, with a certificate recognizing the Legion's 100th anniversary of serving veterans and the Haileybury community.
The certificate, dated July 14, 2026, carries congratulations from Prime Minister Mark Carney and recognizes the Branch for reaching the century milestone.
It is another reminder of just how significant this year's anniversary is. One hundred years represents generations of veterans, members and volunteers who have kept Branch 54 part of the Haileybury community.
The Legion credited its members for the work that went into making its Centennial celebrations a success, calling it an achievement "for the ages."
For Branch 54, the certificate adds another piece to the story of a milestone year that celebrates not only how long the Legion has been here, but the people who have kept it going for a century
🚌 Labour Day Transit Schedule
Temiskaming Transit will operate weekend service from Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7 for the Labour Day weekend. On those days, the last bus will leave Walmart at 9:20 p.m. and end in Cobalt at 10 p.m.
Regular service will operate on Friday, September 4 and resume on Tuesday, September
🧩 Puzzle Exchange Coming to the Library
The Temiskaming Shores Public Library is collecting gently used, complete puzzles from August 31 to September 19 for an upcoming community Puzzle Exchange. For every accepted puzzle, donors will receive one voucher, with a limit of five puzzles per household.
Puzzle Swap Day is Saturday, September 26, with voucher holders choosing puzzles from noon to 2 p.m. The exchange opens to everyone from 2 to 3 p.m., when remaining puzzles can be picked up without a voucher.
💻 Digital Literacy Sessions
The Temiskaming Shores Public Library offers Digital Literacy Sessions on Thursdays by appointment for anyone looking for help using a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Residents can get one-on-one assistance and learn more about using their devices. To book a session or get more information, call 705-647-4215.
🎯 Washer League Meeting
Anyone interested in joining a Washer League is invited to an information meeting at Coeur du Village in Earlton on Tuesday, September 8 at 7 p.m.
The meeting will discuss plans for the league, and everyone interested in playing is welcome to attend.
