Bob’s Small Engine Repair in Haileybury Repairs Lawnmowers, Chainsaws & Trimmers

Spring has finally started showing up across the Tri-Towns, which means lawns are greening up, sheds are opening back up, and people are realizing their lawnmowers, trimmers, and chainsaws have been sitting untouched all winter.
And sometimes, after a long Northern Ontario winter, those machines need a little help getting going again.
That’s where Bob's Small Engine Repair comes in.
Operating out of their home across from Farr Park in Haileybury, Bob’s Small Engine Repair has been helping local residents get their equipment back up and running for the past six years. But the experience behind the work goes back much further than that.
“My husband is semi-retired and has been working on small engines for 45 years,” Valerie shared.
The business repairs lawnmowers, snowblowers, gas trimmers, chainsaws, rototillers, and other small engine equipment, with a focus on fast turnaround times, reasonable rates, and good customer service.
As spring cleanup season ramps up, it’s the kind of local service many people are glad to know is nearby, especially when equipment suddenly refuses to start after months sitting in storage.
Customers can call ahead 705-622-8834, or simply drop equipment off at the home-based shop located at 14 Rorke Ave in Haileybury, across from Farr Park, where there’s a sign posted on the front lawn.
Sometimes all it takes is a quick repair or tune-up to get another season out of the equipment you already have.

It was a memorable weekend for the Temiskaming Thunder girls basketball program as both the U16 and U19 teams delivered strong performances at the Ontario Cup.
The U16 Thunder girls battled their way to the championship final after finishing first in their pool and winning their semifinal matchup Sunday morning. Their run earned them a spot in the gold medal game against the U16 Breakthrough Athletics.
Although the Thunder fell 66-41 in the final, the team brought home an Ontario Cup silver medal while representing the Temiskaming region on one of the province’s biggest stages for youth basketball.

Both teams drew praise online for their effort, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the weekend.
For a program continuing to grow in Northern Ontario, the results mark another impressive step forward and another proud moment for the local basketball community.
