Temagami Dry Comes Home

After years away, Temagami Dry is returning to where its story began.
The Temagami Dry Summer Kickoff Community Launch takes place Saturday, July 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Temagami Train Station, alongside the community's second Farmers' Market of the season.
Hosted by Canadian Shield Beverage Company in partnership with the Temagami Region Economic Development Corporation and the Temagami & District Chamber of Commerce, the celebration marks the return of the iconic Northern Ontario brand to the community that inspired its name.
Visitors can sample Temagami Dry, hear the story behind the brand's revival, meet the people bringing it back, and learn how each purchase helps support economic development initiatives in the Temagami region.
More than a product launch, the event celebrates local businesses, community pride, and the renewed connection between a familiar Northern Ontario name and the place that made it famous.
Whether you remember Temagami Dry from years past or you're discovering it for the first time, organizers invite everyone to come raise a glass and welcome the brand home.

Looking for an affordable way to stay cool this summer? Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, several public swims in Englehart will once again be free for everyone to enjoy.
Sponsored swims begin with a special session on Saturday, June 27, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Additional free swims will be offered throughout July and August, giving families, children, and residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy the pool at no cost.
The program is made possible through the support of Alamos Gold Inc., Georgia-Pacific, and W. Lafrance Logging Ltd., whose contributions help make swimming more accessible to the community.
Whether you're looking to escape the summer heat, spend time with family, or simply enjoy an afternoon at the pool, these sponsored swims offer a great reason to dive in.

💧 Latchford Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect
The Town of Latchford has completed the planned upgrades to its Water Treatment Plant. However, the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect until further notice.
Residents are thanked for their patience and cooperation during the upgrades and are asked to continue following the advisory until it is officially lifted.
🌦️ Climate Change Survey — Chance to Win a $200 Gift Card
Temiskaming First Nation and Notre-Dame-du-Nord are inviting residents aged 16 and older to complete a survey on climate change risks and vulnerabilities in the region. The feedback will help support planning efforts aimed at building stronger and more resilient communities.
Participants who complete the survey can enter a draw to win a $200 gift card. Paper copies are also available at the Notre-Dame-du-Nord municipal office.
🏊 Englehart Lee Pool Opening Day - Free Swim June 27
The Englehart Lee Pool will officially open for the season on Saturday, June 27 with a free community swim from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Regular summer swim schedules begin Sunday, June 28. Adult swims run daily from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with open swims from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Fitness swims are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
🎟️ New Liskeard Lions Club Butchers Raffle Supporting Northern Hospice Care
The New Liskeard Lions Club is selling tickets for its Butchers Raffle, with all net proceeds going to Northern Hospice Care. Tickets are $10 each, with the draw taking place September 19 at 12:00 PM during the New Liskeard Fall Fair.
Tickets will be available throughout the summer at the following locations and events:
• Food Basics — July 9 and July 23, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Daily Bread, Temagami — June 20, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
