Northern Drugs Pharmacy Officially Celebrating Grand Opening in Cobalt

Pic Credit: Northern Drugs
While many residents around Cobalt have likely already noticed the change over the past several months, Northern Drugs Pharmacy is now officially celebrating its arrival in the community with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony later this month.
Northern Drugs took over the former Guardian Pharmacy location within the last year, and like many businesses, it can take time before a company is fully settled in and ready to host an official grand opening.
That celebration is now set for Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the pharmacy’s location at 24 Prospect Avenue in Cobalt.
The event is being held in partnership with the Temiskaming Shores & Area Chamber of Commerce, with an open house scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and the official ribbon cutting ceremony taking place at 2:00 PM.
Rany Youssef, Heather Foley, and the staff of Northern Drugs, along with the Chamber of Commerce, are inviting community members, local businesses, and residents to stop by, see the location, and help officially welcome the pharmacy into its next chapter in Cobalt.
Grand openings like this are always a nice reminder that even after the doors open, businesses often spend months building systems, getting comfortable in a new community, and finding their footing before celebrating publicly.
For residents, it’s also another opportunity to connect with a local healthcare service that has become part of the downtown core over the past year.
Anyone with questions about the event can contact Carrie Graham through the Chamber of Commerce.
