Ridley’s Escape Rooms Opening Doors in Temiskaming Shores This Weekend

A new entertainment option is set to open in Temiskaming Shores as Ridley’s Escape Rooms prepares for its grand opening weekend.

The new business, located at 42 Armstrong Street North, will officially welcome the public from May 1 to May 3. The opening weekend will include free refreshments for visitors, along with an opportunity to check out the new space and learn more about the experience being offered.

Escape rooms are interactive games where small groups work together to solve puzzles and complete challenges within a set time. The format has grown in popularity in recent years, offering a mix of problem solving, teamwork, and entertainment.

Ridley’s Escape Rooms will offer sessions designed for groups of two to six players, with bookings already open online. As part of the launch, a limited promotion is being offered to the first group of customers who book, with a gift card incentive tied to a future visit.

The opening marks another addition to the downtown area, bringing a new activity for residents and visitors looking for something different to do locally.

Organizers are encouraging people to stop by during the opening weekend, take a look inside, and be among the first to experience the new attraction.

Bike Donation Drive Returns to Dymond Community Hall This May

Pic Credit: Temiskaming Shores

Residents in Temiskaming Shores are being encouraged to give unused bicycles a second life as part of the City’s annual bike donation drive.

Running from May 1 to May 31, the initiative is collecting gently used bikes at the Dymond Community Hall, located at 181 Drive In Theatre Road. Donations can be placed on the yellow bike rack at the rear of the building.

The program is part of the community’s 2026 Bike Exchange. Donated bicycles are repaired and cleaned by volunteer mechanics before being given back to the community at no cost. The goal is to help make bikes accessible to those who need them, particularly children and families.

Organizers are asking that only complete, usable bicycles be donated. Items that are broken, unsafe, or intended only for parts are not being accepted due to limited space and an existing supply of spare components.

Bikes of all sizes are welcome, with a noted need for youth, teen, and adult bicycles.

Game Coming Soon!

Be On The Look Out!

You’re going to start seeing this guy around.

We call him the Tri Town Guide.

We’re going to be launching a simple game on Facebook called Find the Guide. On certain days we’ll post a photo somewhere around the Tri Town. The Guide will be in that photo. Your job will be to figure out where it is.

You’ll drop your guess in the comment, and every correct answer will count as an entry. We’ll draw a winner each week and feature them in the newsletter. Local businesses will be part of it too, so prizes will come from right here in the community.

It’s meant to be simple. Something quick, something fun, something that makes you look at the tri town area a little differently.

We’re not launching it just yet. We want to build this up properly first. But it’s coming soon.

So for now, just keep an eye out.

Because once the Guide starts showing up, you’ll know it’s time to play.
