Calling All Performers For Haileybury Centennial

Have a talent you'd love to share with the community? Organizers of the Haileybury Legion Branch 54 Centennial are inviting local performers to help make this summer's celebration one to remember.
Musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, spoken word artists, and other entertainers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to take the stage at Haileybury Harbour Place during the Centennial celebrations, running July 15–17.
Whether you've performed for years or have always wanted to share your talent in front of a hometown crowd, organizers say this is an opportunity to celebrate local creativity while helping mark an important milestone in the Legion's history.
The event is focused on showcasing community talent and creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the three-day celebration. It's also a chance for residents to discover some of the incredible performers who call the Temiskaming area home.
Interested performers are encouraged to contact Branch 54 directly through their Facebook page to learn more and reserve a performance spot.

Ride Free To The Concerts

Planning to catch the live music at the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion? You can leave the driving and parking to someone else.
Free concert shuttle service will be available Friday and Saturday nights, with pickups in Cobalt, Haileybury, and Dymond, making it easy to get to and from the evening concerts at the arena.
Whether you're meeting friends, enjoying a few drinks, or simply want a stress-free evening, the shuttle lets you focus on the music and the celebration.
Pickup Schedule
6:30 p.m. – Cobalt Arena
6:45 p.m. – Haileybury Mall Parking Lot
6:55 p.m. – Haileybury LCBO
7:25 p.m. – Dymond Community Hall
Return Shuttle
1:30 a.m. – Departure for Dymond
2:00 a.m. – Departure for Haileybury, North Cobalt and Cobalt
The free shuttle is another way organizers are making the reunion more accessible, helping everyone enjoy the weekend safely while celebrating one of Northern Ontario's biggest motorcycle events.

Canada Day Landfill & Garbage Update

Residents are reminded of a few changes to garbage collection and landfill services during the Canada Day holiday.
Regular curbside collection will still take place on Wednesday, July 1. However, there will be no curbside collection on Friday, July 3. That pickup has been rescheduled to Monday, July 6.
The New Liskeard Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 for Canada Day.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for the holiday to avoid any inconvenience.

🗑️ Canada Day Waste Collection Schedule
The City of Temiskaming Shores is reminding residents that there will be no curbside collection on Friday, July 3. That collection has been rescheduled to Monday, July 6.
Regular curbside collection will still take place on Wednesday, July 1, while the New Liskeard Landfill will be closed for Canada Day.
🚌 Free Concert Shuttle — Bikers Reunion
Heading to the Friday or Saturday night concerts at the Bikers Reunion? A free shuttle will be available from Cobalt, Haileybury, and Dymond to help concertgoers avoid parking and enjoy the evening.
Pickups begin at 6:30 PM in Cobalt, with return shuttles leaving the arena at 1:30 AM for Dymond and 2:00 AM for Haileybury, North Cobalt, and Cobalt. See Facebook Post for details and pick up times.
🚌 Canada Day Holiday Transit Schedule
Temiskaming Transit will operate a modified schedule during the Canada Day holiday period. Weekend service will run on July 1, 4 and 5, with regular service on all other days from June 30 to July 6.
Additional buses will operate from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on July 1 and July 4. On Canada Day, rides after 10:00 PM are free, with a bus departing PFC at 10:45 PM following the fireworks. The last bus leaves Walmart at 10:20 PM and arrives in Cobalt at 11:00 PM.
🌦️ Climate Change Survey — Chance to Win a $200 Gift Card
Temiskaming First Nation and Notre-Dame-du-Nord are inviting residents aged 16 and older to complete a survey on climate change risks and vulnerabilities in the region. The feedback will help support planning efforts aimed at building stronger and more resilient communities.
Participants who complete the survey can enter a draw to win a $200 gift card. Paper copies are also available at the Notre-Dame-du-Nord municipal office.
