The New Liskeard Bikers Reunion returns July 3-5 with three days of motorcycles, live entertainment, family activities and community spirit. From demo rides and FMX freestyle shows to the Canada Parade, vendors and concerts, there's something happening all weekend. The event supports Temiskaming Hospital & Cancer Care while bringing thousands of visitors to the region.

Professional Wakesurf Coach Coming to Kirkland Lake

A unique opportunity is making waves in the Kirkland Lake area this July as professional wakesurf coach Timmy McNamee brings Project Wakesurf to Lake Sesekinika for three days of on-the-water coaching.
Running July 18 to 20 from Northwood Campground, the clinics are open to all ages and experience levels, from first-time riders to those looking to improve their skills. Participants can also choose to try wakeboarding or waterskiing.
Project Wakesurf is operated by McNamee, a professional wakesurfer and internationally ranked tournament slalom waterskier who has been coaching and competing since 2007. She says the company has helped thousands of people learn watersports over the past 15 years.
Each three-hour session includes the use of a 2022 MasterCraft XT23 wake boat, along with all the equipment needed, including wakesurf boards, wakeboards, waterskis, life jackets and fuel. Lessons are booked in groups of three to six people at a cost of $1,500 per group, making the per-person cost lower as more riders join.
McNamee says she's confident riders of all skill levels will enjoy the experience.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the area to have a prestigious company coming in to coach and provide the experience."
In addition to watersports coaching, McNamee is also a certified boat safety and boat driving instructor and can provide instruction for boat owners looking to become more comfortable operating their own vessels.

Spaces are limited for the July 18 to 20 clinics, so interested participants are encouraged to reserve their spot early.

🍳 Haileybury Legion Breakfast Cancelled July 4 & 5
The Haileybury Legion Branch 54 has announced there will be no weekend breakfast service on Saturday, July 4 or Sunday, July 5 due to the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion. Regular breakfast service will resume the following weekend.
🌽 Riverside Farmers' Market Closed This Weekend
The Riverside Farmers' Market will not be held this Saturday due to the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion. The market will return on Saturday, July 11 with its regular lineup of local vendors, produce, baking, and handmade goods.
🗑️ Canada Day Waste Collection Schedule
The City of Temiskaming Shores is reminding residents that there will be no curbside collection on Friday, July 3. That collection has been rescheduled to Monday, July 6.
Regular curbside collection will still take place on Wednesday, July 1, while the New Liskeard Landfill will be closed for Canada Day.
🏍️ Bikers Reunion Silent Auction — Vendor Alley
Be sure to visit the Silent Auction Table in Vendor Alley during the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion on July 3 and 4. Bid on a variety of prizes, including a YETI cooler, Blue Jays tickets, metal motorcycle art, and more.
The silent auction runs Friday from 10:00 AM and closes Saturday at 5:00 PM, with proceeds helping support the Bikers Reunion
🚌 Free Concert Shuttle — Bikers Reunion
Heading to the Friday or Saturday night concerts at the Bikers Reunion? A free shuttle will be available from Cobalt, Haileybury, and Dymond to help concertgoers avoid parking and enjoy the evening.
Pickups begin at 6:30 PM in Cobalt, with return shuttles leaving the arena at 1:30 AM for Dymond and 2:00 AM for Haileybury, North Cobalt, and Cobalt. See Facebook Post for details and pick up times.
🚌 Canada Day Holiday Transit Schedule
Temiskaming Transit will operate a modified schedule during the Canada Day holiday period. Weekend service will run on July 1, 4 and 5, with regular service on all other days from June 30 to July 6.
Additional buses will operate from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on July 1 and July 4. On Canada Day, rides after 10:00 PM are free, with a bus departing PFC at 10:45 PM following the fireworks. The last bus leaves Walmart at 10:20 PM and arrives in Cobalt at 11:00 PM.
