The New Liskeard Bikers Reunion returns July 3-5 with three days of motorcycles, live entertainment, family activities and community spirit. From demo rides and FMX freestyle shows to the Canada Parade, vendors and concerts, there's something happening all weekend. The event supports Temiskaming Hospital & Cancer Care while bringing thousands of visitors to the region.

One of the friendliest faces at this year's New Liskeard Bikers Reunion didn't arrive on two wheels.

North the Moose, Northern College's mascot, spent the day exploring the reunion grounds, posing for photos with visitors, greeting families, and bringing plenty of smiles to children and motorcycle enthusiasts alike.

Whether stopping for a photo beside a Harley-Davidson, testing the high striker, or handing out treats to young visitors, North quickly became a favourite attraction throughout the day.

The appearance was part of Northern College's ongoing commitment to connecting with communities across the region beyond the classroom. By joining one of Northern Ontario's largest summer events, the College had the opportunity to celebrate alongside thousands of residents and visitors while showcasing its community spirit.

Northern College thanked the Bikers Reunion organizers for the invitation and said it looks forward to bringing North the Moose to more community events throughout the year.

The sound of bouncing basketballs will once again echo through downtown New Liskeard as the Courtside 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament returns during the Our Downtown New Liskeard Block Party on Saturday, July 25.

Hosted by the Temiskaming Thunder, the tournament welcomes players of all ages and skill levels for a full day of friendly competition in the heart of downtown. Whether you're chasing a championship or simply looking to enjoy the game with friends, organizers say there's a division for everyone.

The tournament is just one part of a weekend packed with activities. The Downtown Block Party kicks off Friday, July 24, with an evening concert from 7 to 11 p.m., followed by a full day of family fun on Saturday featuring a vendors' market, inflatables, a climbing wall and ropes course, live music, a magician, and plenty of opportunities to shop local.

Teams interested in competing should register soon, as registration closes July 14.

Whether you're stepping onto the court or cheering from the sidelines, the Downtown Block Party promises a weekend of basketball, entertainment, and community spirit in the heart of New Liskeard.

Ready to play? Gather your teammates, choose a team name, and register before the July 14 deadline. Even if you're not playing, mark July 24 and 25 on your calendar and come enjoy one of downtown's biggest summer celebrations.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead as temporary road closures and traffic changes will be in effect in New Liskeard from Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 during the Rockin' on Canada Day festivities and the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion.

Closures and restricted access will affect portions of May Street, Riverside Drive, and Armstrong Street, with barricades and detours in place throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, July 4, Temiskaming Transit will also be detoured along Armstrong Street while the OPP Golden Helmet Motorcycle Precision Team performs its popular demonstration.

Local business access will remain available where possible, and residents are encouraged to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time when visiting the downtown and waterfront areas.

The City is asking motorists and pedestrians to use alternate routes whenever possible and review the event traffic map before travelling through the area.

The Haileybury Legion Branch 54 has announced there will be no weekend breakfast service on Saturday, July 4 or Sunday, July 5 due to the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion. Regular breakfast service will resume the following weekend.

The Riverside Farmers' Market will not be held this Saturday due to the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion. The market will return on Saturday, July 11 with its regular lineup of local vendors, produce, baking, and handmade goods.

Be sure to visit the Silent Auction Table in Vendor Alley during the New Liskeard Bikers Reunion on July 3 and 4. Bid on a variety of prizes, including a YETI cooler, Blue Jays tickets, metal motorcycle art, and more.

The silent auction runs Friday from 10:00 AM and closes Saturday at 5:00 PM, with proceeds helping support the Bikers Reunion

Heading to the Friday or Saturday night concerts at the Bikers Reunion? A free shuttle will be available from Cobalt, Haileybury, and Dymond to help concertgoers avoid parking and enjoy the evening.

Pickups begin at 6:30 PM in Cobalt, with return shuttles leaving the arena at 1:30 AM for Dymond and 2:00 AM for Haileybury, North Cobalt, and Cobalt. See Facebook Post for details and pick up times.

Temiskaming Transit will operate a modified schedule during the Canada Day holiday period. Weekend service will run on July 1, 4 and 5, with regular service on all other days from June 30 to July 6.

Additional buses will operate from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on July 1 and July 4. On Canada Day, rides after 10:00 PM are free, with a bus departing PFC at 10:45 PM following the fireworks. The last bus leaves Walmart at 10:20 PM and arrives in Cobalt at 11:00 PM.
