Haileybury Legion’s 100th Anniversary Will Be One Big Summer Party

A century of community memories is about to be celebrated in a big way this July.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 is gearing up for its 100th anniversary celebration with five days of events planned from July 14 to 18, including concerts, entertainment, and community gatherings.

One of the biggest highlights will be four arena events featuring tribute bands and performers including Hotel California, ABBA Gold, Eric Leclerc, and In The Flesh: A Tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Organizers say limited arena passes are now available, giving attendees access to all four shows for one price.

For many around the Tri Towns, Branch 54 has been part of generations of community events, celebrations, and local history. Reaching 100 years feels like more than just an anniversary. It feels like a community milestone.

Arena passes and event details are available here:

Notre-Dame-du-Nord Residents Asked About Interest in Pickleball Courts

Notre-Dame-du-Nord residents are being asked to weigh in on a possible new recreational addition for the community.

A local survey posted by the municipality is gathering feedback on whether residents would be interested in playing pickleball if courts were added to the concrete rink surface currently used for ice during the winter season.

Community members can respond by commenting directly on the Facebook post, sharing whether they would play regularly, occasionally, or simply want to support the idea.

Pickleball continues to grow rapidly across Canada, especially in smaller communities looking for fun, social, and accessible outdoor activities during the warmer months.

Residents can leave their comments and suggestions on the original Facebook post here:
