Fresh From Field To You

Most vegetables travel hundreds, sometimes thousands, of kilometres before reaching your dinner table.

At Kidd Crest Harvest Market, that journey can be measured in hours.

The local market garden grows produce on 30 acres just outside Temiskaming Shores, harvesting fruits and vegetables daily before cooling them immediately to lock in freshness and extending their shelf life without unnecessary processing or packaging.

Their mission is straightforward: grow high-quality local produce and keep it affordable.

In addition to their on-farm market, Kidd Crest is making it even easier to shop local with its new Mobile Farm Stand. The travelling market brings freshly harvested vegetables to pickup locations around the area, including recent stops at Gilli's Truck Stop featuring beans, peas, zucchini, cucumbers and fresh salad mix.

Behind the scenes, the farm combines modern growing techniques with plenty of hands-on work. A team of local students helps harvest and sort produce at peak ripeness before it's cooled and prepared for sale, providing summer employment while bringing fresh food to the community.

Whether you stop by the farm or catch the Mobile Farm Stand around town, Kidd Crest is proving that some of the freshest produce you'll eat this summer doesn't have to travel far at all.

We’re always looking to highlight local business, events and stories in the area. If you would like a spotlight on your business then Apply Here.
