Want To Make A Film?

A new community Film Jam is giving local residents the chance to try filmmaking, meet other creators, and produce a short film in just one week.

The event runs from July 18 to July 25 and is open to community members aged 16 and older. Organizers say all skill levels are welcome, including beginners, with tools, guidance, and support available throughout the week.

Participants can work alone or join a group, and both the introduction meeting and final screening will be offered in person and virtually for those unable to travel to the Englehart Library.

The introduction meeting takes place July 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Englehart Library.

Organizers say the event is designed to help connect people interested in filmmaking, whether they are hobbyists, artists, or experienced creators.
