Fire Department Spaghetti Supper - Coeur du Village - Centre communautaire, Earlton | 4:30-6:30 PM | Support the Armstrong Fire Department with a spaghetti supper and bake sale. Admission: $15 adults, $8 children ages 6-8. All proceeds support the fire department.

Rumble to Remember Wrestling - Haileybury Curling Club | 7:00 PM | Canadian Wrestling’s Elite brings live wrestling to Temiskaming Shores, including an over-the-top-rope rumble, championship matches and New Liskeard’s Double D’s. Tickets: $25 advance or $30 at the door. VIP meet-and-greet: $30.

Pumpkin Putt - The Snack Shack & Mini Putt, New Liskeard | 6:00-8:00 PM | Celebrate the 6th annual Pumpkin Putt with an evening of spooky mini-golf fun. The fundraiser supports the Temiskaming Shores Skating Club.

2 more days of tradition, food and family fun are packed into the 117th Englehart & District Fall Fair. Here’s your day-by-day guide to what’s happening Friday and Saturday.

Friday, September 11
9 a.m.–12 p.m. — Poultry and small animals arrive
9 a.m.–8 p.m. — Sheep and goats arrive
9 a.m. — Arena doors open
10–11 a.m. — Live entertainment with Jayden Martin
11 a.m. — Seniors' tea and entertainment upstairs
11 a.m.–6 p.m. — Inflatables, weather permitting
1 p.m. — Local entertainment with Country Attitude
1 p.m. — Poultry and small animal show
2 p.m. — Local entertainment with Elaine Mills & Friends
5–6 p.m. — Off the Beaten Track
5:30 p.m. — Doors open for the Harvest Supper
6 p.m. — Harvest Supper served
6–7 p.m. — Coda
7–8 p.m. — Fred Smith
8 p.m.–12 a.m. — Fall Fair Dance upstairs with Richard Reno & the Awesome Possum Band

Friday's Harvest Supper
One of the traditional highlights of the fair returns Friday evening.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with supper served beginning at 6 p.m.
Large plate: $20
Small plate: $10
Children 6 and under: Free
The menu features old-fashioned shepherd's pie and country favourites.
Friday Night Dance
The evening continues upstairs at the Englehart Community Complex with the Fall Fair Dance from 8 p.m. to midnight, featuring Richard Reno & the Awesome Possum Band.
Admission is $5 or an item for the food bank. The dance is alcohol-free, and the canteen will be open for refreshments.
Saturday, September 12
Saturday is the biggest day of the fair, beginning with breakfast and continuing through the afternoon with the parade, animals, antique cars and entertainment.
7–11 a.m. — Goats and sheep arrive
8 a.m.–1 p.m. — Farmers' Breakfast
9:30 a.m. — Parade participants line up at the museum
10 a.m. — Fall Fair Parade begins
10 a.m.–4 p.m. — Inflatables, weather permitting
10 a.m.–4 p.m. — Wagon rides, sponsored by Georgia Pacific
11 a.m. — Goat and sheep show
11 a.m.–12 p.m. — Live entertainment with Kris P. Cashless
11 a.m.–3 p.m. — Antique car display, with prizes donated by local garages and Road Legend Cruisers
12 p.m. — Baby show
1–2 p.m. — Live entertainment with Faith Hope
2–3 p.m. — Kris P. Cashless
3–4 p.m. — GM Blacktop
4 p.m. — Winner of raffle announced and silent auction winners contacted
4 p.m. — Fair closes
Start Saturday With Breakfast
The Farmers' Breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The hearty country-style breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast, beans, coffee, juice and homemade preserves.
Ages 10 and up: $15
Ages 9 and under: Free
Don't Miss the Parade
The Fall Fair Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, with participants lining up at the Englehart Museum beginning at 9:30 a.m.
And classic-car fans have another reason to stick around. Antique vehicles will be on display at the fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., before the Car Cruise and Antique Car Parade leaves the Fall Fair grounds at 4 p.m. for Royal Canadian Legion Branch 227 in Charlton.

The 117th Englehart & District Fall Fair runs Thursday, September 10 through Saturday, September 12 at the Englehart Community Complex, 80 7th Avenue.
Classic Cars Cruise to Charlton

Classic and antique vehicles will be hitting the road Saturday as part of a Car Cruise and Antique Car Parade connecting the Englehart Fall Fair with Charlton.
The cruise will leave the Englehart Fall Fair grounds at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, with classic, antique and vintage vehicles making the scenic drive to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 227 in Charlton.
Once they arrive, the vehicles will be on display at the Legion, giving people another opportunity to get an up-close look at the cars. The event is expected to continue until 7 p.m.
The cruise is being held with the Road Legends Cruisers, and anyone with a classic, antique or vintage vehicle is welcome to take part.
Whether you're joining the cruise or just want to admire the cars when they arrive, the Charlton Legion is inviting the community to come out Saturday afternoon and enjoy the show.

Public Skating Returns to Temiskaming Shores

Lace up the skates. Regular public skating is about to begin for the 2026–27 season at both Temiskaming Shores arenas.
Public skating at the Shelly Herbert-Shea Memorial Arena begins Monday, September 14 and runs through March 29. Skating is scheduled for Mondays from 4 to 4:50 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
At the Don Shepherdson Memorial Arena, the season begins Tuesday, September 15 and continues through April 18. Public skating takes place Tuesdays from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. and Sundays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
The City notes that skating times can change throughout the season because of holidays, special events and other arena programming, so it's a good idea to check the schedule before heading out.

🧩 Puzzle Exchange Coming to the Library
The Temiskaming Shores Public Library is collecting gently used, complete puzzles from August 31 to September 19 for an upcoming community Puzzle Exchange. For every accepted puzzle, donors will receive one voucher, with a limit of five puzzles per household.
Puzzle Swap Day is Saturday, September 26, with voucher holders choosing puzzles from noon to 2 p.m. The exchange opens to everyone from 2 to 3 p.m., when remaining puzzles can be picked up without a voucher.
💻 Digital Literacy Sessions
The Temiskaming Shores Public Library offers Digital Literacy Sessions on Thursdays by appointment for anyone looking for help using a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Residents can get one-on-one assistance and learn more about using their devices. To book a session or get more information, call 705-647-4215.
