Take Tri Town Today with you. The Tri Town Today Tour is a quick, laid-back way to catch up on what’s happening around the Tri Towns while you’re on the go.
Three mornings a week, Jesse and Cole walk you through the latest local stories. Listen on your drive, while running errands, at the gym, walking the dog or wherever your day takes you.
New episodes arrive Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings on Spotify and soon on Apple.
One heads-up: Jesse and Cole are AI-generated hosts. The voices aren’t real, but the local stories they’re talking about are.

Can AI Help Customers Find You?

Pic Credit: IION - Innovation Initiatives Ontario North
When someone asks ChatGPT to recommend a local business, will yours be one of the answers?
That's one of the questions being explored at a free Ignite AI workshop in Cobalt on Wednesday, October 28, designed to help business owners get more out of artificial intelligence.
Jason Hurlbut of StilwaterAI will lead two hands-on sessions. The first focuses on asking AI better questions, getting more reliable answers and putting the technology to work in everyday business operations.
The second looks at how tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews are changing the way customers discover businesses. Participants will learn practical ways to improve their visibility in AI searches without hiring an agency or needing technical expertise.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to practise using AI tools to tackle real business challenges.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Cobalt Station, 1 Argentite Street. A second session takes place in North Bay on October 27.
The Ignite AI initiative is funded by the Government of Canada through FedNor.
A New Look for the Museum

Pic Credit: Haileybury Heritage Museum
Visitors to the Haileybury Heritage Museum will notice something new before they even walk through the doors.
Large, bright yellow letters spelling MUSEUM have been installed across the building's blue entrance awning, making it easier for visitors to spot.
The new sign was made possible through the generosity of two local businesses. TIME Limited crafted the letters, while Precision Auto Body handled the painting.
The museum thanked both businesses for donating their time, skills and craftsmanship to help give the entrance a fresh new look.
It's a simple improvement that makes a big difference in welcoming visitors to a place that preserves our local history.
