Finally, Skincare That Boosts NAD+ At the Source

For decades, skincare has focused on aesthetic results. But we started by asking a different question: what if instead of trying to preserve our skin's youth, we prioritized optimizing our skin's function? That's how Aramore’s  NAD+ skincare was born.

Developed by Harvard & MIT scientists, Aramore is a skincare system based on skin’s performance, not just its appearance. NAD+ production slows down significantly as we age, and this causes all the telltale science of aging.

Aramore is the only skincare formulated to help skin produce NAD+ like much younger skin would. The result? Skin that’s stronger, firmer,  and more resilient, that not only looks better, but stays healthier over time.

Grindstone Grants Open to Help Girls Get on the Ice for 2026–27 Season

Applications are now open for the 2026–27 Grindstone Award Foundation grants, offering financial support to help young female hockey players across Canada stay in the game.

The program provides registration funding for girls under 19, helping offset the rising costs of hockey and making the sport more accessible for families. In addition, equipment grants are available through the NHLPA Goals & Dreams program, giving players access to essential gear they may not otherwise be able to afford.

Organizers say the goal is to remove barriers and ensure more girls have the opportunity to play, develop, and stay involved in hockey.

There are several upcoming deadlines for applicants. Equipment grant applications must be submitted by June 14, while registration funding is offered in three rounds, with deadlines on June 30, July 31, and a final deadline of August 31.

Those interested can apply online at https://grindstoneaward.com/apply
, with additional information and support available by email through the foundation.

The program continues to play an important role in supporting the next generation of female athletes, helping more girls step onto the ice with confidence and opportunity.

Extremely Rare Spotting Of A Lazuli Bunting In New Liskeard Backyard

It started with a simple idea.

A few bird feeders.

A new hobby.

And a curiosity that had quietly been there for years.

Less than two weeks after putting up feeders in the backyard just north of the bridge in New Liskeard, one local rookie birder looked outside and spotted a bird she had never seen before.

Bright blue.

Warm orange chest.

Perched at the feeder like it belonged there.

At first, it was just excitement. Then came the realization that this might be something much bigger.

That bird turned out to be a Lazuli Bunting, a species considered extremely rare in Northern Ontario.

After reaching out to The Hilliardton Marsh Research & Education Centre, staff came out Tuesday evening and officially confirmed the sighting. Since then, excitement has started spreading through Ontario birding circles, with word already reaching experienced birders across the province.

For many birders, spotting a bird like this can take years. Sometimes decades.

For this local homeowner, though, birding feels like something that may have always been waiting for her.

She says she has always wanted to get into birding, and in many ways, it runs in the family.

Her mother has been an avid birder for years and still is to this day. Growing up, birds were never just something in the background. They were part of family stories.

One of those stories still stands out.

Years ago, her father brought home an orphaned Arctic tern chick. Her mother raised it and named it Cee Cee. The bird would perch on her mother’s shoulder as she walked around outside, becoming part of daily life for a time.

Eventually, the tern grew strong enough to fly away.

But even after leaving, Cee Cee would sometimes return, after being called, and land right back on her shoulder.

So maybe it should not come as a complete surprise that only days after hanging feeders, a western songbird would somehow find its way into this backyard.

Still, knowing that does not make the moment feel any less special.

The homeowner says she feels incredibly grateful and excited to witness something so rare so early into her birding journey.

And now, thanks to one unexpected backyard visitor, a quiet neighbourhood in New Liskeard may temporarily become one of the most talked about birdwatching spots in Northern Ontario.

Game Coming Soon!

Be On The Look Out!

You’re going to start seeing this guy around.

We call him the Tri Town Guide.

We’re going to be launching a simple game on Facebook called Find the Guide. On certain days we’ll post a photo somewhere around the Tri Town. The Guide will be in that photo. Your job will be to figure out where it is.

You’ll drop your guess in the comment, and every correct answer will count as an entry. We’ll draw a winner each week and feature them in the newsletter. Local businesses will be part of it too, so prizes will come from right here in the community.

It’s meant to be simple. Something quick, something fun, something that makes you look at the tri town area a little differently.

We’re not launching it just yet. We want to build this up properly first. But it’s coming soon.

So for now, just keep an eye out.

Because once the Guide starts showing up, you’ll know it’s time to play.
